This has been a very interesting topic this year. With the formation of the Craft Cannabis Commission and push-back from Craft growers in the state everyone is trying to define "Craft Cannabis". On this morning, House Commerce and Gaming heard two bills that would allow craft cannabis producers the opportunity to sell directly to consumers with parameters. In my humble opinion, we are getting closer to a solution to allow farmers to sell small quantities to consumers, but we are not quite there yet. Some of the problems fall in the lap of local ordinance and until there is some simpatico with local governments and the cannabis industry, any direct sales will be challenged giving favor to some and punishing others. It will become a necessary part of the marketplace. We just need to keep working at it...and having a little fun along the way.
